Thank You
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” – Winston Churchill
These words deeply resonate with me as I express my gratitude for your interest in me. I want to thank everyone who pushed, encouraged, and believed in me.
I especially need to thank the 5-year-old girl and her mother for spending nearly a week in the South China Sea without food and water. I also owe a deep debt of gratitude to the little boy and his grandparents who survived on the deserted island of Kuku, Indonesia.
Thank you, Mom and Dad, for enduring poverty when you immigrated to the United States in the early 1980s, for living in public housing, and for surviving on meals from food banks.
Thank you for everything you’ve sacrificed and fought for. Thank you for the foundation you built for me to build on.
Thank you all for the love, hope, and strength you’ve given me.
For me to be able to pursue the game of golf speaks to a level of privilege that I’m not sure I will ever be able to pay back. But I know I will spend my life trying.
Love,
Lauryn
